Author : BCM Motorsports Marketing
Allan and Des Nash from Nash Trucking in Bayswater Western Australia have joined the ever growing list of supporters for the 7th Australian Dirt Late Model Nationals at the Perth Motorplex.
In a phone call from “The Outlaw” Des J Nash and his son, Sprintcar #51 driver Allan Nash, it was confirmed that Nash Trucking will supply a perpetual trophy to the car and driver who takes out Fast Time at the 2008 Dirt Late Model Nationals.
Nash Trucking is one of Australia’s most travelled trucking companies, shifting freight to all parts of our great brown land. They specialise in heavy haulage from one side of the nation to the other : if you have something you need shifted call Des and Allan Nash today at Nash Trucking.
The 2008 Dirt Late Model Nationals list keeps growing daily. We will see 5 drivers from NSW compete : Darryl Grimson, Nathan Disney, Barry Kelleher, Ken Croft, and Scott McPherson, one from Victoria : Steve Pegg, and already two drivers from Queensland, Paul Carlish and Matt Stocker, have shown great interest in travelling west for this leading event. If that’s not enough talent, two hard chargers from the USA in “Rockin” Ronny Miller, who competed and led half of the 2007 race until a minor mechanical problem put him on the sidelines, and Australian newcomer “The Ohio Outlaw” Doug Drown, have their eyes on the winners trophy. This will be Drowns first visit down under but already he has given indications that it won’t be his last. Doug Drown is one of the hottest talents going around the USA tracks at the moment and rest assured he isn’t just coming here for a holiday.
Put those racers together with 30 locals, names like defending champion “The 0 Show” Brad Blake, 04 winner “The Black Knight” Ryan Halliday, drivers due for a national title like “The Rocket Man” Craig Vosbergen, “Shorty” Ben Ludlow, Warren and Jason Oldfield, etc and its easy to see that the Late Model Nationals will be one of the biggest races on the Australian Speedway calendar in 2008.
Such is the popularity of this event it has now grown to two nights of racing. Night 1 will be Friday January 25th for time trials and heats, Night 2 will be Sunday January 27th with heats, B Main, and the all important 30 lap final (No racing on Saturday 26th as the Australia Day fireworks spectacular will be happening on the Perth foreshores) Nominations have already started to come in as the 7th running of the Australian Dirt late Model Nationals will be one to remember.
