The recently completed ‘Smooth Suspension' Street Stock Super Series awarded a 'Xpress Batteries' best presented contingency prize at each and every round of the series voted on by club officials at the venue, with an end of series award voted on by drivers after the series completion & Morris Ahearn who was one of the four round winners, has been voted by his peers as the best presented car & team & picks up a super 'Xpress Batteries' series prize.

Ricky Throckmorton was the winner of the round prize at Darlington before Ahearn at Swan Hill, Anthony Beare at Wahgunyah & Troy Hose at Hamilton were selected by volunteers at those venues.

Voting by the drivers of which eighteen were eligible to vote, was tight for much of the vote until the last few voters cast theirs with Daniel Drewett, Ricky Throckmorton & Anthony Beare amongst those getting votes before Ahearn & his Alexandra # 4 car stormed to a win in the final count.

Xpress Batteries are awarding a prize valued at over $300 to Ahearn which includes a battery, battery box & charger.

Series promoter Dean Thompson spoke of the quality of appearance & presentation in the series. “There are so many cars & teams that are presented so very nicely that are an absolute credit to their sponsors. Beare, Brad McClure, Throckmorton, Mick Clark, Steven Watts, Ahearn, Drewett, Richard Bansemer, Scott Mason & the list goes on. Ahearn & the people that make his team look as good as it does should feel justifiably proud of their presentation; it sets the bar for future seasons in Street Stocks.”
