• ROD BOWEN PRESTIGE SMASH REPAIRS NAMED AS AUSTRALIAN SPRINTCAR CHAMPIONSHIP NAMING RIGHTS SPONSOR. - Rod Bowen’s Prestige Smash Repairs has been officially announced as the naming rights sponsor for the 55th anniversary SCCA Australian Sprintcar Championship at Valvoline Raceway.

Held over three nights on the Australia Day weekend – Thursday, January 26 (Australia Day itself) Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28, 2017 the event will attract the cream of Sprintcar talent in this country.

Defending champion and expat Sydneysider Kerry Madsen will revel in the opportunity to take on all comers at his home circuit.

Valvoline Raceway Managing Director Steven Green was delighted to confirm the deal with Rod Bowen over the weekend.

“Rod’s generosity and his passion for Speedway never ceases to amaze me,” says Green, “he sponsored our 75th Australian Speedcar Championship last season and now he’s behind our National Sprintcar title. It’s people like Rod, and his fantastic business that allow us to put on events of this magnitude. We can’t thank him enough.”

It’s appropriate that Rod is the naming rights sponsor for the Sprintcar Championship given his high profile love affair with the winged monsters as first a driver, then a sponsor and now a car owner with son Toby Bellbowen.

“Rod was a good luck charm with the Speedcar title last season which will go down in history as one of the greatest ever running’s of it. He might be the common denominator with the Sprintcar title too,” says Steve Green.

Over the years Rod’s growing business has put an end to his actual racing duties but his Speedway legacy continues on with at first both sons Roddy and Toby racing Sprintcars and currently just Toby active behind the wheel of the Hog’s Breath Caf #7.

Bowen has sponsored the Sydney Speedway over the years and spent several seasons as a co-owner.

In the last three seasons he has continued to support Valvoline Raceway through purchasing a corporate box and fielding son Toby’s immaculate #7 Hog’s Breath Caf Sprintcar at Parramatta, Toowoomba, Murray Bridge and Warrnambool for the expanding USC network.

Rod Bowen’s Prestige Smash Repairs employs a staff of around twenty people to help him with the ever changing processes associated with motor vehicle body maintenance and smash repair work. Fully qualified panel beaters and spray painters are trained in the latest technology with access to the latest in equipment and there are experienced detailers using only top grade products. Quality control is dedicated to ensuring your car leaves the premises in mint condition.

Experienced administration staff always are willing to aid customers in all facets of the claiming and repair process. ? you can find them at the cnr of Sunnyholt Rd & Bessemer Streets in Blacktown or call (02) 9621 6708.

Advance tickets are now on sale for the title weekend through www.speedwaytickets.com.au

Valvoline Raceway is proud to announce Rod Bowen’s Prestige Smash Repairs as the official naming rights sponsor to this fantastic blue ribbon event.
