• NSW’s best drivers and also the worst drivers will converge on Valvoline Raceway this Saturday night when a mixed program of competitors who will do anything to avoid an accident and those that deliberately cause them are slated on the same night.

The Time Target NSW Late Model Championship will bring together 24 of the most determined stars in NSW to have at it, and those crowd-favourite, car munching, metal munching Demolition Derby drivers will co-headline.

Camden’s Ben Nicastri will lay his NSW Title on the line against a crack line-up of title aspirants in the grunty wedge Late Model sedans who put on some phenomenal racing the last time they were programed at Parramatta in early January.

Realistically over a dozen of the 24 cars entered have a chance of either ‘causing an upset’ or ramming home a victory that is expected in this grueling NSW title.

In early January American Devin Moran joined the ranks and immediately raised the bar for competition. Although the pint sized Ohio racer isn’t here this weekend his presence will be felt with a number of driver/car combinations really stepping up in their performance since the two international races on December 30 and January 3.

One driver who regards this race as ‘unfinished business’ is Newcastle throttle man Nathan Disney who led the NSW title last year all the way until Nicastri ‘stole it’ from him on the final corner.

The field will see the entrance of a brand spanking new driver and car in Daniel Moon in the stunning United Acreage #88 and the ultra professional Healesville based HDD team will see Daniel Barton tackle Valvoline Raceway once more.

Gary Bryans will steer the V26 and multiple Sedan and LM decorated Darren Kane will add significant fuel to the fire in the leading edge Dominator Racecar out of QLD.

This may well be the most wide open NSW title in some time.

The always ridiculously competitive Wingless Sprints return this Saturday night to VR and Dubbo youngster Marshall Blyton looks to repeat his stunning and confidence boosting victory at Goulburn last weekend.

The second generation racer whose Dad Mark is one of the constant front runners in the Wingless category (and still a very handy racer in the USC ranks as well when time allows) and whose younger brother Jamison is a rising star knows that a victory at VR is never an easy proposition.

35 Speedway Legend Cars have also joined the ranks with the regular rumble between at least ten potential feature winners continuing in what has become a regular feast of two, three and sometimes four wide racing.

Possible feature winners include Hayden Pascoe, Dan Morris, Kyle Angel, Nathan Camilleri, Jacob Griffin, James Duckworth and so many more.

Between the Late Models, the Wingless Sprints and the Legend Cars these three categories boast the most competitive ranks in all of Speedway with the idea of picking a pre-race victor all but impossible.

The crowd pleasing Fender Benders return to put the icing on the cake before the manic antics of the Demolition Derby round out what will be one of the most memorable nights of wheel to wheel contact with a wide variety of racing disciplines.

Action starts on track from 6pm.
