• After celebrating 10 seasons the year was culminated by a formal Awards night and with a capacity crowd it just highlighted how successful the season had been.

Even though it was the 10th season it was also a season of ‘firsts’ for the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series again creating history. It was the first time brothers have stood on the podium together and the first time two sets of brothers raced together in an A Main (Paul & Chris Solomon and Brad & Anthony Foster), also the first time we have had brothers share the honours of winning the Series Championship again proving the strong family influence within the All Stars.

The First time we have run a $10K to win show and the first time we have run a double header weekend competing at Adelaide Motorsport Park and Sunline Speedway, Waikerie both tracks being for the first time. With most of the ‘firsts’ covered below sums up very briefly other achievements over the 11 round (16 week) season.

    • Announced the 10th different Series Champion in 10 seasons.
    • 62 competitors competed this season in the series with 20 of those being new to it.
    • Over 8,000ks travelled based out of Melbourne.
    • $112,000 in prize money & $26,000 in Contingency prizes.
    • Ran the richest 360 A Main event in Australia with a payout of $27K.
    • The 7th $10,000 to win Mainline Dynolog Dynamometers All Star Challenge was won by Cory Eliason in the Adam Curry owned USA 00.
    • Unfortunately, the 7th Tyson Perez Memorial was beaten by weather early in the night. Travis Rilat again travelled over from the States for a washout.
    • 9 different race tracks.
    • 10 different A Main winners.
    • 25 different Heat winners.
    • 9 different Oval Express Magazine Quick Time winners.
    • Announced the 2ndJSR King of the River mini-series winner paying out a $2000 bonus.
    • 300 Frisbees thrown into the crowd & bags & bags of giveaways for the kids.
    • $650 donated to the Safe Steps Domestic Violence foundation.
    • All Star Legend Phil Lock won his 8th Drivers Driver Award. What a brilliant tribute to collect 8 of these awards out of 10 seasons!
    • Inducted the 9th member into the Hall of Fame.
    • Series mascot ‘Snowman’ somehow managed to survive his 9th season with the help of lots of superglue
    • And as always smiles, laughter, new friends, too many cans and of course a few tears!

“To say we are proud of our achievements this past season is an understatement. We all worked hard to recognise this milestone achievement and we believe that we have continued to lift our image and professionalism but also managed to maintain the ‘All Star family fun’ image which is very important to us. Thanks to those that shared it with us and roll on next season which by the way will start in about 7 months!!” Mandy Searle tells us.
