Robbie Farr’s dominant performance at last Saturday night’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Toowoomba USC Chase round has seen him leap to the top of the points table as the remaining two rounds loom at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway.

With April 1 and April 8’s final two rounds of “The Chase” ahead Sydneysider Sammy Walsh is within 25 points and Tasmanian Shaun Dobson within 74 of the lead.

Farr was simply devastating around the Toowoomba highbanks Saturday night with a clean sweep of the qualifying sessions, BOTH his heat races, the Shootout and then the A-Main in his ECP Racing #7 Cool.

The question is can he repeat that dominance around the Valvoline Raceway ring of clay this Saturday night or does he need to?

Walsh was also impressive around the imposing Toowoomba bullring for second place in the main event (he led many laps) and even though he was a DNF (Did not finish) in the main event Dobson was still able to move into third place in the overall Chase points.

Father and son Max and Matt Dumesny now occupy third and fourth place respectively whilst the challenge is well and truly at the feet of fifth and sixth placed Darren Mollenoyux and Jamie Veal should they enter for this Saturday in Sydney’s penultimate Chase round.

The Sydney Sprintcar community is literally starving for some USC Sprintcar action as it’s been some two months since the last event for ‘the things with wings’ due to the depressingly wet weather patterns Sydney and NSW has experienced since the Australian Championship in late January.
