• The second edition of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship, South Australia (USC SA) at the Murray Machining and Sheds Speedway at Murray Bridge is set for an international flavour with New Zealand based Sullivan Racing, with Team Driver Brett Sullivan, confirming that they will contest the entire USC SA schedule.

After recently moving to Roxby Downs from his home in Nelson NZ, Brett will contest over 20 events in Australia in addition to racing in his homeland of New Zealand when his busy Australian schedule allows. With Brett racing against some of the best drivers in Australia on a regular basis, including the likes of Luke Dillon, Matt Egel, Ryan Jones and Brad Keller, it is anticipated that the increased competition and seat time is sure to increase his driving skill both here in Australia and back home in New Zealand.

Due to the increased pressure of racing in two countries this summer Team Owner Steve Sullivan has elected to step aside from racing the Team’s second car to concentrate his efforts on Brett’s racing.

In an attempt to get Brett up to speed a little quicker he will prepare for the upcoming season by attending the Robbie Farr Driving School at the Murray Machining and Sheds sister track in Queensland, the Hi-Tech Oils Toowoomba Speedway. But it won’t just be Brett who will be attending as crewman Steve, Cody and Jayden will also be heading to Queensland to gain a further insight into Australian Sprintcar racing.

For the upcoming Australian Sprintcar assault the Sullivan Racing Team will utilise a Warrnambool constructed Cool chassis although they have also purchased a spare car, along with the immaculate race transporter from Sydney racer Darryl Campbell.

The Sullivan Racing Team would like to thank Allan and Travis Woods along with Lynton and Paul Jeffrey at Vortex Wings for their assistance in making the Australian tour possible.

Over the past few years New Zealand based racers have enjoyed great success in Australia with the likes of Michael Pickens winning the Australian Speedcar Title at Valvoline Raceway and Andrew Buchanan finishing third in the Sidecar World Cup at the Gillman Speedway, Brett Sullivan will be hoping that he too can make an impact on the Australian Speedway scene.

The opening round of the USC SA at the Murray Machining and Sheds Speedway will be held on Saturday October 7 with the running of the Bill Wigzell Battle of the Bridge.
