• The covers have come off the stunning new look V88 Sprintcar Team’s 2017/2018 weapon and it’s certainly going to turn some heads.

The striking bright purple and yellow lines of the #88 East Coast Logistics / Drysdale’s Chaff Mill / Hennessy Transport J&J are an appropriate change for what will be the team’s most ambitious and bold season ever.

“It’s bucket list stuff this season,” concedes Victory Lane Racegear principal Mat Eastham, “I’ve dreamed of doing something like this for years so it’s a very exciting time for the team and for our future.”

Eastham is proud to reveal that his continuing relationship with driver David Murcott and the evolving affinity with East Coast Logistics makes it possible to take their place on the 2017/2018 World Series Sprintcars schedule as a contracted combination.

“Without numerous people’s support this wouldn’t be remotely possible,” Mat explains, “but there’s been a lot of hard work and planning going on behind the scenes for months and now we’re ready to make the dream a reality.”

Between valued new and existing Major Sponsors and V88 Sprintcar Team Members the future looks as bright as the new war-paint for the V88.

“We’re really happy with the colours,” Eastham smiles, “it’s certainly a departure from our usual scheme but we’ve retained our trademark purple of course. I think it’s definitely one of our coolest looks yet and the feedback from our sponsors and members has been really encouraging.”

Fans will get a sneak peek of the team’s new look tomorrow night at Avalon Raceway when Renae Eastham runs the livery in the Wingless ranks.

David Murcott will run the #V88 in its new trim the following weekend for the first round of the Avalon Track Championship on October 14 as the team gears up with that and several main events in the meantime before the goal of the first World Series Sprintcars round at Murray Bridge on December 26.

A more detailed schedule will follow soon.
