Super Sedans impressed at Les Gorman Park, Mt Barker on Saturday, with a handy field for the opening day of racing at the Great Southern venue.

After six qualifying heats which saw wins to Damon Trouchet and Tony St Jack in the opening round, Trouchet again, along with Chris Pavlovich in round two, and Peter Wallinger and Rob Knox in the final round, it would be Pavlovich and Damon Trouchet who would start on the front row for the A Main.

The Feature event went without incident, with Pavlovich getting the jump at the start, a lead he held to the chequered flag. Damon Trouchet was unable to hold out veteran Kevin Bell on the first lap, with Bell moving to second. The pair were joined by Robin Knox and Nathan Masson, in what turned out to be a great battle for the minor placings.

Pavlovich checked out, but Bell, Trouchet, Knox and Masson crossed the line within 1.552 of each other in a tremendous finish for the minor placings.
