• The Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway will be thinking pink this Saturday night (November 4) as the venue hosts its Annual Ultimate Pink Night in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation. On a night that will feature entertainment for the entire family, including the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship and a pre-race performance from “The Voice Australia” contestant Claudia Migliaccio, all women will be admitted into the venue for free in an attempt to raise the awareness of Breast Cancer.

For the second round of the USC SA a quality field of close to 30 drivers from across Australia and New Zealand have entered for this weekend including opening round winner Ryan Jones and defending “Pink Night” Race Champion and opening round runner-up Robbie Farr.

After leading all 30 laps of the “Battle of the Bridge” Jones goes into this weekend’s event with a perfect 154 championship points, 8 points clear of Farr with defending series Champion Luke Dillon a further 2 points back.

Joining the current points leaders will be a whole host of potential local winners including Mount Gambier’s Steven Lines, who will make his season debut, Matt Egel, Brad Keller, Aidan Hall, Ricky Maiolo, Steven Caruso, Jake Tranter and Daniel Pestka, who will be returning to the driver’s seat for the first time after breaking his leg in an off season Motorcross accident.

In addition to the drivers mentioned don’t be surprised to see Brock Hallett, Shannon Barry, Hayden Pitt, Lisa Walker and Keke Falland also featuring prominently in what is one of the toughest local racing scenes in the country.

Joining the South Australian contingent will be a few of the best young Sydney drivers including Matt and Marcus Dumesny and teenager Jesse Attard. All three of these talented drivers have a huge Family history in the sport with their parents and grandparents all having raced successfully in the past.

Western Australian Aldo DePaoli and Nelson, New Zealand resident Brett Sullivan will complete the travelling drivers in what is a star studded Sprintcar line-up.

Also with the event being “The Ultimate Pink Night” don’t be surprised to see a lot more pink on the race cars with several of the teams set to tweak their existing paint schemes to celebrate what will be one of the most memorable nights of the 2017/18 Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway season.

In addition to Round 2 of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship SA the action packed program will also include the thundering Late Models, the Formula 500’s and the first appearance of the season of the V6 Sprints.
