• Mark Caruso’s SA33 extended his series points lead when he dominated the A Main with a flag to flag win in RD5 at Timmis Speedway last night. In what can only be described as oppressive heat with temperatures in the high 40’s throughout the day tested all teams. V77 Brayden Parr came home strongly in second after charging through the field from 9th spot. Rounding out the top 3 was James Wren. This was Wren’s first podium in the All Stars Series and he had a smile to match.

Due to time constraints the feature was declared 4 laps from the finish line. Caruso was under siege on numerous occasions with lap traffic causing a few difficulties to get passed. The racing was hot and fast in the pack with multiple 3 wide racing all through A-Main. Michael Tancredi was enjoying a welcome return to form early on after starting in 6th and running down Caruso in the early sector of the race. The car was spannered by Tony Bartlett but got caught up with lapped traffic and spun causing him to go to the rear of the field in the dying stages.

The Solomon Brothers, Paul and Chris continued their rich vein of form rounding out the top 5 after putting on a thrilling show battling with Parr and Wren on multiple occasions for the minor spots on the podium.

Jack Gartner had another good night behind the wheel of the SA16 finishing in a strong 6th. Shaun Forrell enjoyed his best result in quite some time with a 7th place finish. He was followed Trigga Gates, Phil Lock and Jarmin Dalitz rounding out the top 10.

Daniel Evans who was running 5th in the series before Round 5 was again challenging the lead pack before being squeezed against the wall coming off turn 4 giving the flag man an exciting but scary view of the action with Evan flipping across the Start line. He was joined on the infield by Brenten Farrer who made contact with a lapped vehicle whilst running second earlier in the race.

The Mildura track staff did an amazing job in preparing a multiple groove race track and the heat races showed this with side by side racing. Heat wins went to Paul and Chris Solomon, Michael Tancredi and Trigga Gates.
