Welcome to Classic week!

For those travelling to Warrnambool the following is a proposed list of events and information that may prove to be useful both during and in the lead up to the Classic which will be held on Friday January 18 through to Sunday January 20, 2019.

Tickets for the Classic remain on sale with 3 Day Passes as well as Single Night entry tickets available via www.premierspeedway.com.au.

Please note on-line sales are only available until midnight on Thursday January 17, 2019.

While there are many General Admission Tickets available, patrons are advised that the best way to avoid having to endure the ‘rush’ for prime General Admission viewing, is to purchase Terrace Seating, which includes a plastic reserved seat in turn two.

It should also be noted that these reserved seats are selling fast with under 180 remaining available for the Classic weekend.

With regard to accessing the venue, the following points are to be noted:

• All patrons are asked to take note of signage, as located at the gates, which will identify queues for Members and Season’s Pass Holders, Pre-Paid Ticket Holders and those wishing to purchase tickets.
• Chairs may be placed in an orderly manner in the correct queue on either side of the venue, however they are not to be tied, chained or affixed in any way to the gates, fence etc.
• Patrons are asked to return to their chairs, no more than 30 minutes prior to gates opening at 1.30pm. Any unattended chairs will be removed from the line.
• No additional party members, with or without chairs can join the queue at any place other than the rear. For example, if two persons have reserved their place with two chairs in the line, any other members of their party are to join the line at the back.
• Once admitted to the venue, patrons can set-up their chairs etc, naturally they can wait for the remainder of their group in their chosen viewing position and/or then seek a pass-out should they desire.
• Anyone choosing to obtain a pass-out will need to re-present the pass-out with their original admission ticket to gain re-entry.
• The reserving of areas on the spectator mounds using tarps, large blankets etc. will not be allowed. Place your chair and that is your position.
• These changes have been implemented to avoid any unnecessary discussion or confrontation on race day and will be supervised by Security Staff.
• In short, by-all-means reserve you place, don’t try and push in, be considerate and respectful of other patrons and the needs of venue officials with regards to vehicle access etc. This will result in everyone gaining access to the venue as quick as we possibly can as well attending the other Classic related events such as the Classic Breakfast and the Fan Appreciations day – which is for you the Fans!

Friday January 18, 2019:

9.00am – Public one-night ticket sales commence at Warrnambool side ticket boxes.
9.00am – Pit Ticket Sales Commence, from Pit Ticket Box.
9.30am – The Classic Brunch at the Flying Horse Bar and Brewery between 9.30am and 11.30am featuring MC Wade Aunger and a Star-Studded Panel of Guests. Please note tickets are selling fast so call the Premier Speedway office on (03) 5565 1789 to reserve you seat.
1.30pm: Gates open at venue for pre-paid ticket holders and pass holders – one-night sales cease until 2.00pm.
2.00pm: Walk Up Sales gates re-open.
2.00pm: Band (The Stand-Ins) Begins in South West Conveyancing Live Site (behind Grandstand).
4.30pm: Drivers Briefing.
5.00pm: Sprintcars to in-field –Engines Start, Hot Laps and Qualifying.

Saturday January 19, 2019:

9.00am – Public one-night ticket sales commence at Warrnambool side ticket boxes.
9.00am – Pit Ticket Sales Commence, from Pit Ticket Box.
10.00am – The Standard Fan Appreciation Day at the Flying Horse Bar and Brewery between 10.00am and 12 noon.
Key Events: Driver Interviews, Big Screen etc.
1.30pm: Gates open at venue for pre-paid ticket holders – one-night sales cease until 2.00pm.
2.00pm: Walk Up Sales gates re-open.
2.00pm: Band Begins in South West Conveyancing Live Site (behind Grandstand).
4.30pm: Drivers Briefing.
5.00pm: Band Completes Session
5.00pm: Sprintcars to in-field –Engines Start, Hot Laps and Qualifying.

Sunday January 20, 2019:

12.00pm – Pit Gates Open
1.30pm: Gates open at venue for pre-paid ticket holders – one-night sales cease until 2.00pm.
2.00pm: Walk Up Sales gates re-open.
2.00pm: Band (The Stand-Ins) Begins in South West Conveyancing Live Site (behind Grandstand).
4.00pm: Helicopter to arrive on-site.
4.30pm: Sprintcar Drivers Briefing.
4.50pm – Presentation prior to hot laps of Best Presented Car and Crew – Premier Speedway Maintenance Committee award – sponsored by R & M Security. And overall fastest qualifier over the two nights. Presentation of Alan Pollard Memorial.
5.00pm: Sprintcars to in-field –Engines Start.
5.50pm: National Anthem
6.10pm: Heat Racing
