• Chris Pavlovich has won the opening round of the Super Sedan Summer Series at the Makit Hardware Narrogin Speedway on Saturday night at the venue he won his State Title at last season.

Pavlovich defeated Adrian Geary, Adyme Harvey and Kevin Bell in an entertaining Feature Race which went the 20 lap distance without a stoppage, the first Feature Race to go the distance in the last twelve months.

Earlier, Adyme Harvey won a thrilling opening heat, which saw just four car lengths separating the top four cars, with Kemble Aylett trying everything to pass Harvey, as was Kevin Bell and Adrian Geary.

Heat two would see a reduced field after a first lap collision, one of just two re-starts for the night, which would see Kyle Larson suffer a flat tyre, forcing Larson to watch from the infield. Chris Pavlovich would record an easy win over Steve Larson and Nathan Bell, only to be relegated by officials after the race for starting out of position.

Adrian Geary would win heat three, opening up a handy lead which would be dissipated when Nathan Bell spun on turn four with two laps remaining. Geary would hang on for a narrow win over Kyle Larson and Kemble Aylett.

Chris Pavlovich recorded an easy win in heat four, with Kevin Bell giving the State Champion a big start, after taking three laps to pass Mt Barker based Tony St Jack. Bell did make a few in-roads into the lead, but it was too big a gap to make up.

Adrian Geary took his second win of the night in heat five accounting for Tony St Jack and Kyle Larson, who had a great battle for second place throughout the ten laps.

Meanwhile the final heat saw Kevin Bell reverse the result of heat four, downing Pavlovich and Harvey, with the duo having a great scrap for the minor placing, with the State Champion getting the better of Harvey with three laps remaining.

Adrian Geary and Chris Pavlovich would start on the front row for the twenty lap main event with Kevin Bell and Adyme Harvey starting on row two.

Pavlovich got the best of the start, which ultimately would be the winning move, leading all the way. Geary and Bell had a great battle for the minor placing, with the pair coming under pressure from Harvey as they hit heavy lapped traffic in the concluding stages, with Harvey passing Bell to take third place.

Pavlovich won the main event in a record time, to start the season with a strong victory.

Round two of the series will he held at Manjimup Speedway on Saturday, 30 November 2019.
