They may hail from opposite ends of the Country but Tate Frost and Lachlan McHugh share a passion for going fast and will be welcome additions to the 2020 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

Joining the highly touted pair of hot shoes will be Victorian based Eureka Sprint Series regular Darren Clarke.

McHugh who made the Classic final in 2018, narrowly missed a transfer from B-Main last January with a sixth placed run, having earlier banked some strong points on his opening qualifying night which yielded a sixth place A-Main finish.

For the 2019-20 season, McHugh is basing a majority of his racing, including a tilt at World Series Sprintcars as a contracted driver for Western Australia’s John McLellan and the J&S Drilling Team.

At the disposal of the talented McHugh will be an Inglis Race Engines bullet which will be bolted into the W60 Maxim.

Support for the team will come from Hino, Mincon, M.A.N, SEDL Contractors, Halls Head Pharmacy, Castrol Edge, VCV Brisbane, IWS Haulage, Right Price, Dondex, South Side Trucks and Global Lubricants.

Joining McHugh as one of the talented Young Guns to embark on the Classic will be the driver of the Mooie Makeup, AFR Anthony Frost Racing Pty Ltd, T & D Wholesale and Wicked Energy Gum, T62 Maxim – Tate Frost.

At his first attempt at the Classic, Frost finished the 2019 version of the event in 6th place in C-Main 2, however his form lines suggest a much stronger result is on the cards in 2020.

Likeable Victorian Darren Clarke is another who will be in the field come the Classic in January.

Clarke was a model of consistency in recent times and will once again pit the Mental Transport, Feelgood Gym’s, SWD Legal and All-Star Graphics Triple X against the might of the Classic field.

All race fans are reminded that on-line ticket sales for not only the 2020 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic but every meeting of the 2019-20 season at Sungold Stadium commenced on October 21.
