• It may not be the biggest field, but the fifth round of the Super Sedan Summer Series promises to be a beauty at the Make Smoking History Bunbury Speedway on Saturday night.

After four rounds of the series, Chris Pavlovich, the West Australian Champion, and Kevin Bell are separated by just 15 points, with Pavlovich winning two rounds of the series at Narrogin and Collie, while Bell won at Margaret River in January.

Added spice to the series will come in the form of Gary Higgs, who makes his debut in the series for 2020, after three months on the East Coast which saw him win heat races and finish on the podium in Queensland, along with top five and top ten finishes against the best in Australia.

Further spice will come from son Dustin, who returns to racing after an extended layoff, racing Adrian Geary’s car while Geary is out of the Country on work commitments. The car is not foreign to Dustin, as it is his old car.

Also returning from an interstate trip is Kemble Aylett who has had mixed results in the series so far, and will be looking to turn his fortunes around.

Rob Knox returned to the series at Margaret River and finished on the podium immediately, and has performed well at Bunbury in the past.
Stephen and Kyle Larson have been very consistent, with Steve’s consistency rewarded by being third in the series, while Kyle sits seventh. Damo Wallinger from Mt Barker and Craig Gilbert from Augusta are also in the field along with Nathan Bell, who in his first season, finds himself in the top ten at the half way mark of the season.

Drivers will contest two heats each of the three allocated as support for World Series Sprintcars, with the A Main promising to be a great race.
