  • Excitement, nerves and the Easter Bunny all rolled into one weekend.

The countdown begins for the conclusion of the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series for 20-21.Friday night a new series Champion will be named and now the question is, will this be a name that is already written in the record books and possibly be the first father and son to win, will it be the first three time Champ or will a new name be added. Rusty Hickman is currently 1852; Mark Caruso is 2nd on 1790 and Charles Hunter - 1779. Hickmans Dad Darren was the first driver to win the series back in 2008.

“Rusty started his sprintcar career with the series the day he turned 16 and over the years he has gone on to win the SRA Eureka Garages & Sheds Series and been a contracted WSS driver. It would be pretty cool to have his name on the winners shield along with his dad. Mark has won the Championship two times before in 2010/11 and again in 2018/19 so for him to take it out again would be a brilliant achievement just proving again his commitment to 360’s and the series itself. It is Charles Hunter’s first full time attempt at the series and for him to take out No 1 would be one hell of an achievement and very well deserved. Whoever it is I can guarantee it is going to be a nail bitter and I’m excited and nervous all in one.” Promoter Searle tells us.

Newly crowned 360 Vic 1 Brenten Farrer loves the Timmis racetrack and will want to stand on the top step Friday night and finish the series on a high. Both Solomon’s are running with Chris rebuilding a car after destroying his a few weeks back and brother Paul has recently purchased another 360 engine after sitting on the side lines for a few weeks. ‘Farmer’ Phil Lock has had a solid season and currently sits in 5th place and a few more points could see him move up to 4th overall. SA10 Steven Caruso is making the trip from SA and is always a solid charger at Mildura being on the podium several times there before.

The locals are showing strength again with V6 Cam Waters slotting his 360 in for Easter to run in front of his home crowd, VA99 Corey Sandow, VA52 Jason Bolitho, SA51 Jay Brown and with VA9 McClure Racing putting Brad Warren in the seat for the weekend. Dan Evans is back in his family owned Evans Motorsport SA44 and after running some laps a couple of weeks ago showed speed straight up. Talented Rookie D26 Todd Moule was another to get additional laps at the venue recently. 410 regular SA4 Lisa Walker has decided to lease a 360 for Easter. Walker has been on the podium in the past with the series and is certainly a gasser. V39 Brett Smith, VA91 Dan Scott, SA95 Jarman Dalitz are just few other names for the 28 strong field.

It’s going to be a huge weekend with a Show & Shine on Friday morning, Presentation Party night at the Reddy Pub, Redcliffe on Saturday night and then the drivers all get to do it again on Sunday night with the G1 Logistics 360 Sprintcar Easter Nationals.
