• Young-gun American Midget racer Alex Bright has confirmed his place in the December 8th Tim Crouch Memorial, with the Queensland-based Jack Berry Racing / Polar Ice team currently preparing for the long haul south to Murray Bridge Speedway!

If his recent POWRi Speedcar Super Series win at Charlton Raceway Toowoomba is anything to go by; 21-year-old Bright is not to be overlooked when it comes to picking the contenders despite having touched South Aussie soil before!

Bright started from position six at the SSS round in Toowoomba and worked his way to second before snatching the lead in the last lap of the A-Main. How ballsy of a last lap move was it? Well the Pennsylvanian came in only 0.175 seconds ahead of New Zealander Michael Kendall and former Australian Speedcar Champion, Nathan Smee!

Prior to his trip to Australia, Bright was battling it out in the American Racing Drivers Club (ARDC) Championship where he took out four wins over the US race season!

South Australian Midget fans have been fortunate to have watched the likes of fellow Americans Kevin Swindell and Darren Hagen taking on our local heroes in Speedcar blue ribbon events over recent years so all we can do now is wonder... Will Alex Bright be added to the list of 'Yanks' taking home our trophies?!

Come find out at Murray Bridge Speedway on Saturday 8th of December and cheer on the best of the best as the members and friends of the South Australian Speedcar Association celebrate our own racer's racer, Tim Crouch!
