• A contingent of Victorian Wingless Sprint race drivers have put together a package where five of them will with thanks to the support of ‘Doolans Heavy Haulage’ & ‘Tasmanian Heavy Haulage’ head over the pond to contest the Tasmania title on December the 14th at ‘Mountain Dew Ice Raceway’ in Hobart.

Troy Small campaigner of the Pomodoro Bros supported Victoria # 2 car, Robbie Johnsons pilot of the Doolans Heavy Haulage supported # 42 car, former multiple times Sedan state champion Peter Logue who drives the # 62 Cheap Tyres Morwell supported race car, Mick Fallon driver of the Coates Hire # 71 car and Bianca Reeves lady racer of the # 63 Truck Bra’s machine will all be making the trip thanks to the transport supporters.

Excitement is growing whilst the Victorian’s are not expecting an easy time of it over in Tasmania against Chris Gallagher who has been in great winning form late last season and early this year, Gerry Hoekstra a driver with Sprintcar experience, Phil John a former national GP Midget champion & Kurt Luttrell another with Sprintcar experience amongst others.

With a field of nineteen set to start, it is possible for any one of the five to achieve a top five result or to take the silver ware back over on the boat to Melbourne.

Troy Small had this to say about the opportunity. “Tasmania is a beautiful place with great people it is just a fantastic opportunity to get our cars over there to aid in the growth of the division in Tasmania and to race somewhere new. On behalf of the drivers we all thank Doolans Heavy Haulage & Tasmanian Heavy Haulage for their support in making this possible. I can see it being possible that we will at least have a top three finisher in the field, however let’s see if we can bring Tas # 1 back with us.”

Be sure to follow the results on the 14th and cheer the Vic’s on as they do us proud.

The racers suggest if you have some heavy haulage needs coming up get in contact with Doolans through details on their website and let them know your following them up due to their support of Wingless Sprintcars, they will look after you.
