• After six aggregate points events so far this season the Victoria # 19 driver Sam Wren leads the Max Dumesny Motorsports Victorian Wingless Sprints aggregate point score by a healthy 14 point margin ahead of Andy Hibbert and a further point back James Wren as drivers head into the big Christmas events as the chase for the fantastic rear Max Wheels hots up a little more.

With the great support of Max Dumesny Motorsports and the prizes up for offer for first and second place in the overall aggregate of a rear Max Wheels set to the winner and a front Max Wheels set for the runner up, good fields have been frequent early in the season, especially in the western district.

The top ten currently has five drivers from the Western Districts, two from Geelong, two from Ballarat and a lone driver from Gippsland in a points table that has 59 drivers with a minimum of two points at six events.

Race meetings contributing to the point score thus far include Avalon’s opening Wingless show in October and the Parr Motorsports round two weeks later followed by the Sungold Stadium day show on November the 10th, Borderline & Portland’s series rounds and Western Speedway on December the 14th where unfortunately the feature race wasn’t run due to curfew.

Sam Wren has won two of the six events that have counted including the first at Avalon in October and the Sungold Stadium day show in November and has been the most consistent scoring in the top five at four events.

Peter Green from Geelong has also been consistent finishing in the top five at three events as has James Wren & Andy Hibbert.

Top 5 Finishes so far include:
Avalon Oct 19: Sam Wren, James Wren, Jason Langdon, Andy Hibbert, Gabe Goode
Avalon Nov 9: James Wren, Rhys Baxter, Sam Wren, Pete Green, Adrian Densley
Sungold Nov 10: Sam Wren, Rhys Baxter, Daniel Beard, Luke McCutcheon, Wayne Hurford
Borderline Nov 16: Andy Hibbert, Sam Wren, Pete Green, Marlin Walsh, Jason Langdon
Portland Dec 7: Daniel Storer, Andy Hibbert, Pete Green, Luke Cole, James Wren
Hamilton Dec 14: No final all attending drivers received 2 pts

    The top ten:
    1) Sam Wren 38pts
    2) Andy Hibbert 24
    3) James Wren 23
    4) Rhys Baxter 20
    5) Peter Green 18
    6) Daniel Storer 12
    7) Marlin Walsh 12
    8) Jason Langdon 11
    9) Luke Cole 10
    10) Wayne Hurford 9

With what would have been another point scoring opportunity at Redline Raceway on December 21st cancelled due to expected rain, up coming opportunities to score points include Bairnsdale Speedway on December 27th and Rosedale Speedway on December 28th for the next two Parr Motorsport rounds, Laang Speedway for their Gold Cup on January 2nd and Southern 500 Speedway for the Southern Stampede on January the 4th.

If drivers wish to stay in touch with the top ten and even leap into the top ten they are likely to be on the road at these four race events.
