• The Gippsland based LV Core & Saw Series for Junior Standard Saloons stops at Rosedale Speedway this Saturday night the 28th for round two of the four round series with fourteen youngsters keen to show their bigger Super Sedan cousins their talent in what is always a great night of racing in front of a big crowd as they race in the Rosedale Firewood Supplies supported event.

The series had its first round at Nyora in South Gippsland back in November with Steven Danks coming out on top with Victorian champion Tyson Cull and Cooper Cappellari from Northern Victoria filling in the minor placings.

With Joshua Thomas from Bairnsdale Speedway Club joining the series after missing the first round of the series things will be extra exciting at the front of the field and Ty Hutton, Michael Suckling & AJ Lawrence will all be putting pressure on and improving on recent results.

New additions to the series include Tahlia Campbell & Ambah Fythe bringing the number of girls in the field to five joining Casey Lovell, Ally Morrison & Jamieson Miller-Mowat and Morrison after knocking on the door of the top five at Nyora and a recent race meeting at Drouin Speedway is keen to lead the girls into the top five at Rosedale.

Round two of the series is supported by local business Rosedale Firewood Supplies and Steven Danks also supported by the business is keen to win his home track round in his sponsors race. “Whenever we go racing we want to do well and bring the car back to the trailer straight. I can’t hide the fact that I would really like to win this round above all others since our supporter is also the round supporter and since it is our home club also. It will be tough though with Cully keen for revenge and Coops coming back down and Josh trying to beat me again after a win at Drouin at the start of December. I would encourage everybody to get right behind all of us kids on race night.”

The series continues to gain momentum with recent additional support from Bob Jane T Marts Traralgon giving free wheel alignments to any of the competing racers in the series. Racers are encouraged to speak to Bronwyn Parsons to take advantage of the offer.

Current naming supporter is wrapt to have further support for the kids. “This series has been great for Junior racing in Gippsland. The momentum is wonderful, the interaction between kids is great and the excitement in seeing the future of this sport development is pleasing to all involved. The offer from Bob Jane T Mart Traralgon is wonderful from a local business with invested interests in an Australian icon business. We all couldn’t be more pleased with the way things are progressing.”
