  • Matt ‘Mutley’ Parsons is raring to get off the leash and rocket around Mid-Western Speedway this Saturday night when the Victorian Speedway Council aligned Victorian Mini Sprints Club run their state title at the wicked little venue nestled in Darlington about an hour north-west of Geelong.

Mutley a 40 year old from Warragul has had a very consistent season in the # 73 Twister Chassis with great support by his partner Nicky, part time driver and crewman his brother Deano and his crew chief Daryl Burr.

Recently Parsons finished with a top three result in the Easter Cup dog fight, the right sort of form to be bringing into title night.

A 2011 victory in the prestigious Geoff Moule Memorial is the best ever result for Parsons and stepping on top of the state title podium would be the only other result that matters for Parsons on track at the minute.

Parsons has been around a little while and when giving thought to the others he has raced against or still races against he notes that Chris Milton and Stuart Ferguson (two of the older dogs) as his most respected competitors noting, he can run wheel to wheel with them and not get fed a wheel.

Bairnsdale, Nyora and Laang Speedways are all quick little venues and amongst Mutley’s favourites, Mid-Western is similar or equal in speed to those.

    Matt Parsons is supported by:
    Jettco
    Custom Haulers
    JJM Turboworld
    Bass River Motors
    Midwest Imports
