Inclement weather has forced the hand of Murray Bridge Speedway Management to bring forward tonight’s World Series Sprintcars event in the hope of securing a result.
Murray Machining and Sheds Speedway Administrator, Darren Shaddock was optimistic about the forecast, adamant that every opportunity would be taken to get an A Main result.
“The weather forecast predicts that the consistent drizzle will stop around 2pm, and will hold off till around 7:30pm, potentially opening an opportunity to hold the race meeting between those hours starting the earleir than scheduled 4pm.”
“We recommend that race fans get to the track early as this may be a shortened event, but we’re committed to doing everything we can to make this show happen, as we understand it matters to the fans and it matters to the 30th Anniversary of the series as well.”
“The track was already sealed over in anticipation of the overnight rain, so it should be ready for engine starts on as soon as we open it up.”
“Keep your eyes on our Facebook page as that’s the best place to get up to date information. If we do cancel the event tonight before the completion of the fifth event on the schedule, ticket holders will be offered entry to our January 7 International event featuring Brad Sweet, Knoxville Nationals Champion Jason Johnson and Harli White, Brian Brown and Dominic Scelzi.”
