Darren Kane has won the Brims Concrete, Super Sedan Summer Slam, supported by McCosker Contracting at the Ausdec Patios Archerfield Speedway on Saturday night.

Prior to the Feature Race, four qualifying heats were held, with Leigh Williams winning the opening heat, leading all the way, while Matty Pascoe came from the back of the field to finish second, ahead of Kyall Fisher. Sean Black also led all the way in heat two, narrowly accounting for Darren Kane who started from position six, with David Musch completing the top three. Matty Pascoe continued the run of the pole car winning the heat race when he won heat three, downing Mark Pagel and Wayne Randall quite easily. The final qualifier would see Kyall Fisher hit the lead at the half way mark to narrowly defeat Darren Saunders and Darren Hawkings.

Despite not winning a heat race Darren Kane amassed enough points to make the top eight shootout, with Mark Pagel and David Musch advancing from the Bronze Shootout into the Silver Shootout. Mark Pagel advanced to the Gold Shootout again setting the quick time, with Darren Kane joining him in the final four. Kane was able to secure pole by setting a time of 15.130 around the Archerfield circuit, just 0.109 quicker than Matty Pascoe, while Pagel and Kyall Fisher completed the top four.

In a feature race, where passing was difficult Darren Kane would lead all 35 laps, chased by Matty Pascoe and Mark Pagel all the way.
Kyall Fisher held fourth place for all but the last lap, where Sean Black made the pass to take the position. Black was the big mover in the race, making several outside passes to move from eighth to fourth. Kyall Fisher finished fifth, while David Musch and Justin Randall had a really good battle mid pack, swapping positions several times in the concluding stages with Musch finishing sixth.
