Another big field of Street Stock ventured on Saturday night to the Gulf Western and Independent Oil Raceway, Latrobe, with Dale Riley Jnr winning his fourth Feature Race of the season, and third at the Latrobe venue.
Going into the Feature Race, Riley Jnr would be joined by former State Champion Matt Templar on the front row for the fifteen lap Feature Race.
Templar took the lead and was chased by Riley Jnr all the way, until he eventually took the lead on lap six. Behind them, Damien Hall had moved to third, with John Riley, Nathan Russell and Ben Riley swapping positions at infinitum.
Corey Jetson who started towards the back of the field, made some great moves to pass the bulk of the field, moving to third with five laps remaining, but was a third of a lap behind Riley Jnr and Templar who had a great battle for the lead.
Riley Jnr would prevail by a car length from Templar, with Jetson a distant third, who in-turn, finished well clear of Nathan Russell, Ben Riley and Luke Williams.
Earlier, six qualifying heats were held, with Templar the only driver to win twice.
