  • The 2022 Easter Sprintcar Trail came to an abrupt finish on Sunday night when inclement weather dampened the spirits of all and sundry at Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool on what promised to be a great night.

    Having claimed two feature wins from the opening two nights at both Avalon Raceway and Borderline Speedway, Jamie Veal would be recipient of the $5000.00 overall series bonus, ahead of the super impressive Troy Little, who kept Veal honest with two second place runs in the opening two nights, to be well and truly within striking distance heading into the final night.

    Tasmania’s Tim Hutchins enjoyed a super weekend of racing as well, finishing third behind Veal and Little.

    Marcus Dumesny, while seemingly quieter than usual was still a very strong performer and young Victorian Bobby Daly finished fifth, a position that would have changed should Sunday have gone ahead, due to the fact he was unable to compete at Premier Speedway.

    The podium finishers on both of the completed nights are as follows:

    3rd V8 Bobby Daly

    Borderline Speedway – Saturday April 16, 2022
