• On a hot summer night at Moama the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series main event went flag to flag with an elated Brenten Farrer coming home in first place. Starting on pole for the A Farrer didn’t have it all his way with young gun Chris Temby in the Fosters Transport V18 getting the start and leading the early stages. The Foster/Temby combination had been busy through the week replacing the engine that they hurt last weekend at Nyora. Farrer managed to pass Temby when lap traffic came into play.

Current point’s leader SA33 Mark Caruso was also hot on the tail tanks of these 2 for a few laps before he managed to pass Temby for 2nd. With only a couple of laps left Caruso made a couple of attempts to get under Farrer but couldn’t get it done and settled for second at the checkers. Cyclone Solomon was also moving up the field and gaining on P1 and P2 coming home in 3rd. V18 Chris Temby finished 4th and V64 Kane Newcombe rounded out the top 5.
Early in the night the track wasn’t kind on tyres but as the sun set it allowed the immense amount of water the track held to ease this. The feature was shortened to 25 laps instead of 30 early in the night just to be on the safe side but it wouldn’t have mattered as tyres weren’t a problem by this stage. “It was a credit to all the track prep guys fighting temperatures in the 40s for a few days to keep the track in condition and the immense amount of water they poured into it the during the week worked.” Searle said after the feature.

After destroying his car last weekend and rebuilding during the week VA2 BJ Harris had engine gremlins at the start of the night. The team worked hard and managed to find the problem and won the Maxis Keep on Fighting Award for all their effort. NS22 Jarreth Argus took out the TEH Hard Charger. After setting Quick Time in his group unfortunately D26 Todd Moule’s night was done before it started with the team retiring with engine problems.

VA91 Dan Scott was another to burn the midnight oil through the week after rolling at Nyora. The team have been having mechanical issues for weeks and finally managed to fix the problem and had a solid result for the night with a 7th place.
